I’ve got several things to catch y’all up on. First, Dr. Savage let us know during pre-op last Tuesday that he secured the May 2nd date for surgery. Bypass the system or maybe he just knew his odds of winning? Then, on Thursday, it got moved up, again, to April 29th.

Exactly 20 days after this nightmare began we will already (hopefully) be on the road to recovery. Call time is 5:45am so I’m assuming that makes Matthew first up to play. We anticipate a 3-4 hour surgery and 2-3 day hospital stay.

April 29

  • 5:45am check-in for surgery at MUSC Ashley Towers

  • Radical Nephrectomy (full removal of tumor, kidney and surrounding affected areas)

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Matthew remains calm and at peace and mentally prepared for surgery.

  • Wells and Tagg continue to feel loved and supported and know fully that everything will be ok.
