We head to MUSC Main Hospital first thing tomorrow to kid that dang kidney stone out! The procedure has a fancy name but it seems pretty simple. They go in they get it out. Recovery time will be determined by how well Matthew handles anesthesia. I don’t think he’s ever been put to sleep before so this will be a good dress rehearsal for the main event coming up! Hopefully he will be woozy enough not to complain about my driving on the way back to Pawleys. I’m not sure I’ve ever driven him more than five minutes before. Weird the things that change.

Speaking of the impending date, I spoke with the scheduler today and there is a chance it could be as early as next Friday, May 2nd. It sounds like she feeds our case into the computer where it competes against other surgical submissions to win the time slot. I’m not sure if “winning” is really winning but we will take the first available, thank you! Yes, ma’am.
