New House Progress: The Kitchen

 Well you can see that not much progress has been made in the kitchen.  We're still debating a wall color.  Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter and Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray are topping the list.  The darker steel gray color you see is what we found underneath the striped wallpaper.  We both really like that color as well but I'm not sure I want a whole wall of dark gray on the opposite wall with no cabinets.

 Matthew likes the idea of keeping the walls white.  The adjoining hallway is going to remain white.  It leads into the family room which has been painted completely white as well.  The brick wall is going to remain white like the cabinets as well.

If we go that route it might be fun to do chalkboard paint on the back splash wall.  Eventually we'd like to add white subway tile but this could be a fun quick fix.

We also need to choose a light fixture and pulls for the cabinets.  We've ordered a range hood that should be arriving any day.  We'd also like to build a more substantial island.

I've been having a lot of fun with accessories though!
