Mommy & Me sketch

I'm seriously so excited about a project I'm working on for a client.  She asked me to customize a digital illustration based on one of our photo shoots for her to use for thank you cards.  Whoa!   I have no clue what I'm doing, but, the idea intrigued me enough that I immediately sat down and tried to learn.  Here is the first one I did in illustrator.  It's based off of a picture of  Wells and I.  I actually like the way this one turned out and I'm going to have it printed to hang in Wells' room.  The second attempt was done in photoshop and while significantly easier to create, I like the look of the first one better.  The lines are cleaner.  I really need to learn to be more proficient in illustrator.  It scares me.  And hands.  I think I'm going to make all my illustrated people fingerless from now on.

I can't wait to get started on individuals of Wells and Tagg to have printed up for their own personalized calling cards.  Yes, I'm serious.
