skirted table

Hey friends
Friday already?
God bless.
Let's get back to dining room saga...
Not two seconds after I got that ginormous hutch the heck out of my dining room I promptly filled it's space and only mildly neglected my child.
She was napping by this point.
God bless her.
All 35 glorious minutes of it.

I like pretty things best so I think I'm going to share the after's before the before's from now on.
here's the before
It's really not as ugly in person
But it's still bright green and no matter how I styled the shelveing, it looked cluttered and messy.
So like Katie Holmes and her sham marriage, I decided to skirt the problem for now.
Literally.
I promise to post a step by step with pics once I actually do this project.
Yeah, you read that right.
At this point, you're looking at an extra long linen curtain panel folded up neatly around the table with a remnant of my dining chair fabric pinned right on.
And don't even get me started on the styling here.
I've been dying for a buffet that's deep enough to properly display things for years.

I'm pretty sure there will be not-so subtle changes happening daily.
I'll try to share pictures of it's evolution if I can remember to pick up the camera before I clear the surface for a different look.

I'm trying to organize a Skirted Happy Hour.
Basically a hen fest with sewing projects and wine.
I'm thinking of finishing this project and starting a pillow or two
Let me know if you're in.
I hope all you lovelies have a fabulous weekend
